  Picked up Chrono Trigger DS again. Finished the rather boring Lost Sanctum and all 3 Temporal Vortexes to find that your reward is some badly written fan-fiction and a fight against Lavoschala who is barely harder than Phase 3 Lavos. Then there’s a really short cutscene and video that attempts to bridge CT to the AWFUL Chrono Cross. Lame.

  inFamous is great. Elements of Prince of Persia, Saint’s Row and Force Unleashed all in one game. If you like finding secret packages in an open city where you can claim territory and do side missions, and your character can throw lightning bolts and sticky grenades from his fingers as he skates along steel cables, you will want to get this. Also the cutscenes are cool.

  Picked up the CoX 14 day trial with two of my friends. For some stupid anti-goldspammer reason you cannot start a group if you are on a trial account. So short of having some random person start a group for the three of us we cannot group up to do missions, which is arguably the best part of the game. Stupid stupid stupid.

  @Yeg re: RFF - the poison ring is like a tier-3 piece of armor, so I’d worry more about getting a trusty weapon and a couple pieces of wool-based armor for now. Neck scarf and knit cap did me well for a good while.

    I just made a lv2 neck towel and lv2 knit cap and lv2 Wappen. What the fuck is a Wappen? Also I made a Lance but only a lv1 due to a shortage of copper. Also got about ten Antidotes in my bag. So I’m almost ready to fuck shit up in the Green Ruins.

    I have taken some but they are pretty damn useless, which ones are the ones that are willing to pull their weight? So far the best one is the plant creature with his wide-angle shots but he’s just not as aggressive as I want, although he’s how I got past those wasps.

  Dinged 64 in EverQuest 2. First levelup in almost 3 years. It feels good. The world is empty, the visuals suck, the combat is awful. Still, there’s something cool in this old fashioned mmorpg. I’ll probably ding 65 very soon. Green quests give tons of XP and AAs, and the leveling is surprisingly fast (it wasn’t).

  Poisonous wasps in the Green Ruins have caused me to decide to spend time farming for a bit instead of dungeon-diving. I think I will make a few trips here and there to water the turnips as an investment toward later exploration, but it will be nice to just farm corn and strawberries, and tend the livestock. Then smith some bad-ass armor and weapons so I can kick some ass.

  Armor Spider ate me alive because I wasn’t smart enough to get out of the entrance hallway. I thought I could dodge all that shit, and I almost did but after not playing Demon’s Souls for about five or six days I have gotten very rusty. Too much stress, so I switched over to Rune Factory Frontier since that’s pretty damned relaxing just-one-more-turn gameplay that has practically zero consequences for failure.

  Got The Dark Spire for DS yesterday, loving it so far. Game is fucking brutal: I’ve had to restart completely once because I blew all my cash on revives and still had 2 people dead. Even now with a little experience under my belt I still have to reload my saves every 10 minutes. Overpriced antidotes kick my ass.
